The Kushner Family Is In Beijing, Selling Access And Green Cards For The Bargain Price Of $500,000

Trump has made it abundantly clear that he hates immigrants, and doesn’t feel too much better about China. But does his hate have a cost? As it turns out, it does–$500,000. Nicole Kushner Meyer, Jared Kushner’s sister, spoke in Beijing on Saturday to market a property in New Jersey. Her selling point was simple, and featured in promotional material: “Invest $500,000 and immigrate to the United States.”

What she is referring to is the EB-5 visa, which gives immigrants a path citizenship if they invest at least $500,00 to a project that creates US jobs. This incentive has often been used by the Trump and Kushner families, making the message clear: the only immigrants Trump wants are rich ones who will give him money.

However, this is one of the few immigration issues that receives bipartisan criticism, since it basically sells green cards to wealthy foreigners.

In fact, Nicole Kushner Meyer used the criticism to her advantage, warning potential investors to act fast because policy changes to the EB-5 Visa might raise the required minimum investment. Meyer turned an already problematic policy into an investment drive.

This event, hosted at the Ritz-Carlton hotel, was open to the public. Yet, when reporters from the Washington Post and New York Times tried to attend, they were told to leave. The Kushners are certainly part of the Trump family now—trying and failing to hide their corruption.
