For Your Eyes Only: Homemade Eye Masks For Tired Eyes

Sometimes the eyes can say more than the mouth. Not if the eyes are tired. Kohl, mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner all checked, but still eyes are not looking pretty and appealing. That natural beauty of the eyes is missing. This means something beyond makeup has gone wrong. Stress, work load, tension, long hours on computers, pollution, travelling, etc are enemies of beautiful eyes. These enemies are responsible for weak eyesight, dark circles, puffed eyes, etc, and they make our eyes look tired and dull. We have lined up some eye masks for you, which will brighten your dull and tired eyes.

Oil mask for tired eyes

You can use almond or coconut oil. Coconut oil mask helps in removing puffiness under eyes, dark circles and softens the skin under eye. Just massage your eyes with it before going to bed. Whereas almond oil hydrates skin, reduces crow feet wrinkles and swelling. Mix almond oil with honey and apply every night.

Coffee mask for tired eyes
As coffee wakes you up in the morning, coffee also wakes up your tired eyes. You need 1 tablespoon of each of coffee, honey and vitamin E oil and few cotton pads. Brew a cup of coffee and let it cool, then add honey and vitamin E oil. Now dip cotton pads and put them in 2 plastic packs or bags and freeze them. Then put these coffee pads on your eyes and leave them for 15-20 minutes.

Tea mask for tired eyes
Like coffee pads, tea bags also beneficial for eyes. Take 2 used tea bags and put them in the fridge for 10 minutes. Then put these tea bags on your eyes for 10-15 minutes. This helps in removing dark circles, tiredness and puffy eye bags.

Potato mask for tired eyes
Potato is considered to be very good for reducing dark circles, puffiness under eyes and tiredness. You just need to place 1 potato slice each on your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Due to its cooling effect and natural bleaching property, it lightens the dark circles. You can also mix potato and cumber juice and apply on eyes.

Cucumber mask for tired eyes
The cooling effect of cucumbers is useful for our eyes in many ways. It reduces dark circles, puffiness and makes them look fresh. You need to place 1 slice each on your eyes and leave it for 10-15 minutes. You can add lemon or potato juice in cucumber juice and also apply.

Turmeric and lemon mask for tired eyes
This combination helps in making eyes look brighter. It also heals damaged skin around the eyes and fades dark circles. Take 2 teaspoons each of lemon juice and turmeric powder. Mix both and apply around your eyes. Leave it for 20 minutes or till it dries, then wash.

Tomato juice mask for tired eyes
Puffy eyes or dark circles make your face dull, and these eye masks help you regain that lost look. So next on the list is tomato juice mask. You need to mix 1 teaspoon of tomato juice, ½ teaspoon lemon juice and a pinch of gram flour. Mix and apply under your eyes. Leave it for 15 minutes, and then wash with lukewarm water.
