Buttermilk is a natural skin bleacher. Take some buttermilk in a bowl and dip cotton in it, and apply it on spots. Leave it to dry for 15-20 minutes, and then wash with lukewarm water.
Citrus fruits, like lemon or orange, also help lighten the dark spots. You may apply lemon juice to treat these black or dark spots. You can also make a paste of dry orange peel, curd, honey and lemon juice, and apply it on your face.
Face pack of sandalwood, rose, water, lemon juice and glycerine is really effective. You need to mix all four of them and apply on the dark spots. Leave it for some till it dries completely. Then wash with cold water.
Garlic and Onion Juice
This is one of the best treatments to remove dark or black spots. You need to mix onion and garlic juice, and apply it on the dark area. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, and then wash with water. Do it 2-3 times a week. You can also apply tomato or potato slices on the dark spot for effective results.
Milk is very effective in treating dark or black spots on the face. You can use milk directly or use it as a mixture. Apply directly on the skin and leave it for 10 minutes, then wash. As a mixture, you can mix milk with honey and then apply it on the dark spot.
Oils also work wonder in fading these dark or black spots on the face. Vitamin E oil or coconut oil is of great help. You have to apply any of these oils on the affected area regularly before going to bed, and wash it next morning.
The next on the list is white vinegar. It helps in treating acne, hyper pigmentation and dark or black spots on face. Take 1 teaspoon each of water and white vinegar, mix and apply with cotton ball. Leave it for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse off with cold water.
Prevention is always better than cure. So, always remember to wear sunscreen, at least of SPF 30, 20 minutes before stepping out in the sun. Apply it even if there is no sun, it protects you from harmful sun rays.
