Our very own ‘X men: Days of the future past’ star, Hugh Jackman suffers from basal carcinoma-a type of skin cancer that gives rise to uncontrolled lesions in skin’s basal cells. The condition, however is treatable. This is the 5th lump in two years that Jackman has removed from his nose. Basal carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer and can affect anyone. Hugh is doing well now and is participating in different campaigns to raise awareness for all forms of cancer. Our ‘wolverine’ urges his fan to use sunscreens whenever they go out in the sun and get regular check-ups just to be sure.
The chubby pop diva Selena Gomez has gone through a lot of ups and downs at a tender age. Her on and off relationship with heartthrob Justin Bieber, her mother’s miscarriage and recently she has opened up that she is suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or lupus. Lupus is an autoimmune disease wherein the immune system starts attacking its own cells. This disease cannot be cured, can be lifelong or last for few years, however treatment may help. But this does not slow down the ‘Same old love’ star. She is optimistic that one day she will get rid of lupus but will continue delivering quality work, be it singing and acting.
